Tried out Redwood JS

Mar 22, 2020

Just completed the Redwood JS tutorial and I am impressed. This project has the potential to become for JavaScript what Rails has been for Ruby.

It’s a full-stack solution that gives you, in a single codebase, your JavaScript frontend, a database exposed via a GraphQL API, and lambda functions that can do whatever you need.

With convention over configuration, you can take advantage of all of this with just a few keystrokes thanks to an awesome CLI and deploy it in a matter of minutes.

It doesn’t quite feel production-ready yet, but I will be following the project very closely.
