Five years ago today, we launched the original Boxy on Product Hunt.
It seemed inconsequential at the time, but that project put me and Fabrizio on the trajectory we are today and led us to founding a company together 3 years later.
It all started with a tweet:
I tried to imagine how @inboxbygmail for Mac would look like https://t.co/NojBHUdF3k pic.twitter.com/8TVtB4CGWE

By total chance I read that tweet, and had enough time to stitch together a prototype and send it to Fab. It happened in a single afternoon. I remember he was enthusiastic and that we immediately decided we would build and ship Boxy together.
Fast-forward 2 months and had we launched it, with the help of our friend Chris.
What followed was the craziest week ever that culminated with us getting on the front page of The Verge:
Seeing something I made end up on @verge is a delight. The amazing work by my bro @frankdilo made this happen 👊 pic.twitter.com/1qa8iNzLUt

I didn't realize how big of a deal this was at the time, but I was hooked. That's what happens when you make your first dollar on the Internet, and we had just made 30,000 of them 😬
Five years later, I feel grateful for that crazy two months and that me and Fabrizio are still together shipping cool shit.
As a matter of fact, we are shipping something new today. Can you guess who's hunting it?
Here's to the next 5 years of building on the Internet.
